Dik mi dik

Dik mi dik

Dear Matteo,

As mentioned to you this morning, I can remember when I was child in Rhodesia listening to my Uncles and Aunts discussing family squabbles and non-communications in Ladino for various reasons between family members was referred to as “Dik mi dik” which is Turkish for trivial disagreements. I thought it may be of interest though it may not be known by anyone one except the elder members of our community.

Kind regards,
